More with Less: Music in the Small Church — 3:30 Monday
Creating a lot from a little has always been a challenge, whether it is ministry, music, or worship. However, God can always do a lot with a little, and we are often called to do the same. Learn how to maximize your resources by exploring some different approaches to music in the small-membership local church. Plenty of Q&A will take place in this session.

Creating Modern/Contemporary Accompaniments for Traditional Hymns — 4:30 Monday
Join Jackson Henry in this session, which is directed toward helping discover the creative possibilities found in new harmonies, rhythms, and genres for accompanying traditional hymn tune melodies. Oftentimes, Jackson creates accompaniments in which the congregation doesn’t have to change any notes or melodies. The existing tune melody is all you need!

United Methodist Hymnal Revision Update — 2:30 Tuesday
If you have been following news from The United Methodist Publishing House and Discipleship Ministries the last couple of years, you will know that we are in the midst of a hymnal revision that we pray will take us into the future of worship in the UMC. For news on the work of the Hymnal Revision Committee, come and join this conversation.

Upcoming Worship Series from Discipleship Ministries and The Fellowship — 3:30 Tuesday
In 2018-2019 Discipleship Ministries is expanding collaborations with worship materials that correspond with the Revised Common Lectionary, and The Fellowship is a key player in that work. Come and hear how these materials are growing and changing to equip worship leaders in local churches with creative and deeply discerned resources.

In addition, these seminars would also be of interest to pastors and worship planners:

Worship Planning : Musician and Pastor — Barbara Day Miller and Alice Rogers (2:30 Monday)
With particular roles in worship leadership, pastors and musicians approach the planning process from different points. How can these perspectives enrich our preparation for worship by the gathered community?

Writing Prayers for Worship — Barbara Day Miller (2:30 Tuesday)
Engaging images from Scripture, we will practice writing brief prayers for worship using the classic collect form. NOTE: This class will meet for two sequential sessions.

The Contexts of Preaching — Barbara Day Miller and Alice Rogers (2:30 Wednesday)
This workshop will explore the multi layers of context which inform the practice of preaching.
